INTRODUCING HELENA LACY

I am thrilled to welcome Helena Lacy to our collection of collectible design, featuring her footstool and a small series of side tables.

Helena, a recent graduate of the Royal College of Art, is first and foremost a fine art ceramic sculptor so we are very lucky to be able to feature some of her domestic, functional art pieces.

Living with Helena’s work is a constant discovery and pleasure: the glazes are infinite and reflect the light in a warm and comforting way.  She works with stoneware, using a range of hand building techniques to create her forms, and has experimented with metallic glazes to achieve a striking mirror-like finish.

Featured here is her first side table of the series, the first of many to come and also the footstool, which becomes a rather whimsical, beautifully formed sculpture when not in use.
